Los Tacos, a new taqueria at East Colfax Avenue and Pearl Street in Denver, will donate $1 to Mount Saint Vincent for every pint of Former Future Brewing Company’s Gadabout India Pale Lager that is sold from the Confluence Tap Handle from Saturday, April 9, to Saturday, May 7.

The Confluence Tap Handle is a giving initiative between restaurants and craft beverage makers to give back to their communities. Los Tacos owner, Micah Armijo, is enthusiastic about hosting the Confluence Tap Handle and helping the youth at Mount Saint Vincent. “Being part of the outstanding Denver community is a privilege that Los Tacos will continue to honor,” Armijo said.

Collaborating with Los Tacos is Former Future Brewing Company, located near Broadway and Louisiana. “Working with the community is and has always been important to Former Future,” said Former Future Brewing Co. owner Sarah Howat. “We believe in the power of people and the lasting effects of fostering community. Small businesses are truly the heart of community. Small businesses implement change and foster relationships."

Los Tacos is very passionate about helping youth and chose Mount Saint Vincent as its beneficiary while hosting the Confluence Tap. Mount Saint Vincent provides clinical treatment and nurturing, loving care for one of society’s most vulnerable populations — children facing severe emotional and behavioral challenges due to trauma, mental illness, physical or sexual abuse, or chronic neglect. Using highly relational, individualized treatment therapies, Mount Saint Vincent helps young children express their trauma stories, control their emotions, build safe and healthy relationships, and learn to trust again.

To celebrate the giving initiative, Los Tacos will host a Launch Party on Saturday, April 9, from 6-8pm. The event is free to enter.

This will be the third time a restaurant and brewery have partnered through the Confluence Tap Handle. “We are extremely excited to create a collaboration through the Tap Handle that can make a meaningful donation to charities and bring exposure to some of the newer breweries in the Denver area,” says Confluence Tap Founder, Brian Phipps. “All of our partners understand the importance of being an involved and engaging member of the community. We hope to have a Confluence Tap Handle in every community that can be utilized as a resource for charities and an opportunity for craft beverage makers to connect with restaurants.”
